Day Care, After School & Summer Day Camp Programs Add Up to Lots of Fun!
Our Day Care, After School and Summer Day Camp Programs offer children ages five to twelve a safe and healthy environment in which to grow and learn about themselves. Our mission is to help your child develop as an individual and a friend. We emphasize the development of interpersonal skills, responsibility and self-discipline as well as physical fitness in all our programs. Our licensed capacity is 48 children, with one adult for every 15 children.
After School Program
Open Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the After School Program provides your children the perfect transitional setting between school and home.
We'll pick up your children after school, transport them to the fitness center and supervise their care until you pick them up. We'll even transport and supervise them beginning at 7:30 a.m. on the morning when school is delayed.
Each afternoon is filled with a variety of interesting and fun activities. Homework time is regularly scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays. Snacks are provided daily. The children swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (Those not swimming must stay int he pool area with the instructor.)
Van service is provided for the following schools:

Inclement Weather Policy During the periods of inclement weather, school delays or closing, the After School Program will operate on a regular schedule.
During instances of two-hour school delay, the program will open at 7:30 a.m. Please make sure your children arrive by 8:45 a.m.
In case of severe weather, please call the fitness center before brining your child.
Summer Day Camp
Summer Day Camp provides the same opportunity for fun and exercise throughout the summer, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For your child's safety and security, we ask you to follow these guidelines.
Upon Arrival:
1.
Parent/guardian must accompany child into facility. Please arrive by 10:00 a.m. to assure that lunch will be provided for your child.
2.
Child must be signed in with name and time on the arrival/departure sheet.
3.
Parent/guardian must notify attendant of any problems the child may have had during the night or early morning (did not rest well, did not eat breakfast, etc.)
4.
At this time, the staff will perform a health check. If the child shows obvious signs or symptoms of communicable disease, he or she will not be allowed to stay at the center that day.
Upon Departure:
1.
Parent/guardian or person authorized to pick up the child must come into the center and sign and note departure time on the arrival/departure sheet. If a non-custodial parent is legally restricted from picking up or visiting the child, you must provide a copy of the separation agreement, divorce decree or other legal document.
2.
At this time, the staff will notify the parent/guardian of your child's accomplishments and any problems or concerns that occurred during the day.
3.
The child may not leave the facility unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Personal Belongings:
Staff will exercise reasonable care for personal belongings brought to the center, but will not assume responsibility for them. School age children will be expected to keep up with their belongings.
All PHFC programs are conducted without regard to race, color, religion, age or marital status of parents.
Getting Started
All participants must register at the Princeton Health & Fitness Center. A current copy of each child's immunization and physical record must be presented to register.
Program fees are determined by membership status:
Members:
$10 After School $16 All day $145 per month-After School
Non-Members:
$14 After School $20 All day $205 per month-After School
To assure a continued space in the program, all fees must be paid by the due date listed on the current invoice. Each child will be given 12 "free-miss" days, plus scheduled holidays during the year. Any days missed over 12 will be billed at half our regular daily rate.

Discipline
Children are expected to obey the rules and guidelines established for the safety of the group.
All children will receive a verbal reminder before other disciplinary action is taken. Upon the second occurrence, the child will be placed in time-out. Should the child continue to disrupt the program or disobey the rules, the parent will be called and asked to remove the child for the remainder of the session.
Regular violation of rules may result in longer suspensions (two days or more). Continued violations may result in removal from the program.
A child may also be removed for the following reasons:
1.
Failure to pay tuition as outlined.
2.
Failure to comply with any program policy.
3.
Behavior that is uncontrollable or destructive to other children or to PHFC property.
If removal is necessary, parents will receive written notice outlining the date and reason for removal five days in advance.
The PHFC requests five work days' notice from the parent or guardian who wishes to remove a child from the After School Program.
Complaints
Parents have the right to timely resolution of problems. If any parent is not satisfied with the determination of the supervisor, he or she should present the complaint in writing and request an appointment with the director, who will meet with the parent and others involved within 20 days. A written decision will be given to those involved within 60 days. This decision is considered final.
