Hey Members! Our Spartan SGX is FREE TO ALL MEMBERS!! Spread the news! If any of our non-member friends want to sign up for the class, you can pay $75 for a single or $100 for a couple. If our non-member friends would like to become members, we will waive the joining fee! Let's do this!
We will offer an Introduction to Spartan Class this Saturday, April 4th @ Noon. Spartan is a 12-week program with 3 phases. Participants are encouraged to begin at Phase 1 of the program due to the progression of difficulty of the class and to promote team cohesion. Our Certified Spartan Instructor for the 12-week program is Steve Johnson.
This class meets outside on the field beside PHFC, rain or shine. Be prepared to bend, crawl, carry, climb, jump, lift, lunge, pull, push, run and sprint!
Spartan SGX is a functional exercise program and training regimen for participants of all abilities and ages. The body-weight focused workouts are varied and typically taught in a group or class. Spartan GSX if the fitness program with a plan behind it - a plan designed to improve your physical performance over time. It is not an exercise DVD or Video. It is not random.
You will be challenged and prepared for your next race. Spartan Races are the ultimate test of overall fitness. Prepare for them here at Princeton Health & Fitness Center! Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been proven to be the most effective marital art in a self-defense situation. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tends to rely upon proper leverage of techniques for success rather than brute strength; it is considered both self defense and sport, making it ideal for men and women of all ages.
Devon Bailey is our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor. Devon trains under black belt Butch Hiles and has metaled in several prestigious tournaments like NAGA, US Grappling, WVGO and Caged Kombat; also placing in WV, TN and NC state championships. He is known for an exciting, unorthodox style that is credited to his extensive training in various styles of Jiu-Jitsu. It is Devon's goal to share the knowledge he has acquired by using sound teaching principles that emphasize mastering the basics.
